Little League games resume in St. Thomas as players return to competition

After the parade and opening ceremonies, the April 23, 2022 return of Little League baseball in St. Thomas shifted into actual game action at Griffith Ballpark. Young players were back on the field competing in front of families, supporters, and visiting guests as the territory restarted its first full season after the COVID-19 pause. The scenes at home plate and around the infield showed the event’s larger purpose taking shape: children in the U.S. Virgin Islands were not just being welcomed back to the ballpark, they were returning to real competition.
