Bryan names Dayna Clendinen as Personnel director
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced on March 14, 2019, that he had appointed Dayna Clendinen as director of the Virgin Islands Division of Personnel.
At the time of the appointment, Clendinen was serving as assistant commissioner of Public Works. Government House said she had more than 18 years of leadership experience in public, private and nonprofit organizations.
According to the announcement, Clendinen previously served as human resources director for the Department of Education, the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority and the Virgin Islands Port Authority, where she also served as chief negotiator.
Government House said her nonprofit experience included work as an administrator and human resources official at the North Carolina Community Foundation. It said she also worked in the private sector at GlaxoSmithKline.
Government House said Clendinen was a Ph.D. candidate in creative leadership for innovation and change at the University of the Virgin Islands and held a master of science degree in organizational leadership and a bachelor of arts degree in communications.
