Westbound lane on Vester Gade in St. John closed for water leak repair on May 31, 2024
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said the westbound lane on Vester Gade near Uncle Joe's Barbeque on St. John was scheduled to close temporarily on May 31, 2024, for water system repairs.
WAPA said westbound traffic would be detoured onto Edward Moorehead Boulevard.
According to the notice, the closure was needed so a water system maintenance crew could excavate and repair a leak in front of Uncle Joe's Barbeque. Repairs were estimated to end at 5 p.m. on May 31, 2024.
