Legislature confirms seven Mapp nominees and appointees

The 32nd Legislature confirmed seven nominees and appointees during its April 4, 2018, session, according to a Government House statement issued April 5, 2018.

Those confirmed were Nelson Petty Jr. as commissioner of the Department of Public Works; Julio Rhymer Sr. as director of the Office of Management and Budget; Stacey A. Bourne to the Virgin Islands Casino Control Commission for the St. Thomas-St. John District; Hubert Turnbull to a second term on the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority board for the St. Thomas-St. John District; Elizabeth Armstrong to the Water and Power Authority board for the St. Croix District; John A. Quelch to a first term on the University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees; and Dina Perry-Malone to the Virgin Islands Housing Authority board for the St. Thomas-St. John District.

The statement said Perry-Malone was confirmed to complete the term of the late George Blackhall.
