Bryan and Roach visited Montessori students on St. Thomas

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. and Lt. Gov. Tregenza Roach visited students at the Virgin Islands Montessori School and Peter Gruber International Academy on St. Thomas on Oct. 23, 2020.

According to Government House, the officials greeted kindergarten and pre-K students and spoke with fourth-grader Rhea Madison James, who wrote The Runaway Watermelon, and 12th-grader Deja-Marie Simon, who illustrated the book.

During the visit, Bryan said he would include The Runaway Watermelon in the next Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge.
