Thirty-third Legislature approves 22 Bryan-Roach nominees
The 33rd Legislature of the Virgin Islands approved all 22 nominees submitted by Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. on May 14, 2019, for Cabinet posts, Superior Court judgeships and the Virgin Islands Port Authority Governing Board.
Those approved for Cabinet and agency positions were Education Commissioner Racquel Berry-Benjamin, Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte, Finance Commissioner Kirk Callwood, Personnel Director Dayna Clendinen, Health Commissioner Justa Encarnacion, V.I. Fire Service Director Daryl George Sr., Attorney General Denise George, Motor Vehicles Bureau Director Barbara Jackson-McIntosh, Planning and Natural Resources Commissioner Jean-Pierre Oriol, Internal Revenue Bureau Director Joel Lee, Labor Commissioner Gary Molloy, Agriculture Commissioner Positive T. A. Nelson, Office of Management and Budget Director Jenifer O’Neal, Public Works Commissioner Nelson Petty Jr., Office of Collective Bargaining Chief Negotiator Joss Springette, Corrections Bureau Director Wynnie Testamark, and Property and Procurement Commissioner Anthony Thomas.
The Legislature also approved Judge Douglas Brady for reappointment to the St. Croix District, Judge Jessica Gallivan for appointment to Family Court in the St. Croix District, Judge Kathleen Mackay for reappointment to the St. Thomas-St. John District, Judge Debra Watlington for reappointment to Family Court in the St. Thomas-St. John District, and Leona Smith to the V.I. Port Authority Board.
