Government House scheduled second USVI Community Business Forum with Royal Caribbean Group for March 24, 2021

Government House said on March 19, 2021, that it would host Royal Caribbean Group for the second session of the U.S. Virgin Islands Community Business Forum on March 24, 2021.

According to the announcement, the virtual forum was scheduled for 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. It was set to focus on helping Virgin Islands businesses adapt their services for the return of cruise ships during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Government House said Royal Caribbean Group would discuss its return to the territory and the services passengers would need once ships docked in the Virgin Islands. The V.I. Port Authority was also scheduled to present a two-port incentive program aimed at increasing ship calls to St. Croix, and the V.I. Department of Health was to present its Healthy Certification program.

The first session in the forum series was held in December 2020 and focused on economic and workforce development in the territory, according to the announcement.
