Senate approves 60-day extension of U.S. Virgin Islands state of emergency

The 33rd Legislature approved Gov. Albert Bryan Jr.'s request on October 6, 2020, to extend the U.S. Virgin Islands state of emergency for 60 days, through December 8, 2020.

The extension kept the governor's current executive orders in effect as the territory continued its response to COVID-19. The emergency declaration had been scheduled to expire on October 9, 2020.
