Ian Clement appointed acting attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. appointed Deputy Attorney General Ian Clement as acting attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands on March 16, 2024, effective immediately.
The appointment followed the resignation of Attorney General Ariel Smith.
Government House said it would announce a plan for a permanent replacement for Smith in the coming weeks.
