St. Thomas water interruptions were scheduled for Oct. 8 and Oct. 11

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said potable water service interruptions were scheduled in parts of St. Thomas on October 8 and October 11, 2019.

WAPA said customers in Bournefield and Lindbergh Bay were set to lose water service from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 8 while crews replaced a defective master meter serving the Lindbergh Bay area.

A second interruption was scheduled for Palm Strade and Long Path from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on October 11. WAPA said the outage was needed to install a new 10-inch valve on Raadets Gade in connection with the Main Street Revitalization Project.

The authority advised motorists traveling through the work area to use caution.
