WAPA announced daytime road closure on St. Croix for Campo Rico water project work

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said Hannah’s Rest Road on St. Croix would be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. from March 5 through March 7, 2024, between Melvin H. Evans Highway and Queen Mary Highway.
WAPA said motorists were advised to use alternate routes during those hours.
The authority said the closure was needed so Water System Maintenance crews and contractor VI Paving could continue work on the Campo Rico Water Rehabilitation project, including milling and paving of the west lane.
