WAPA scheduled Back Street road closure and outage on St. Thomas for February 21, 2024
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said Back Street on St. Thomas was scheduled to close from about 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on February 21, 2024, to allow a crew to replace a transformer.
WAPA said motorists traveling on Back Street were advised to use alternate routes during that period.
The authority said customers on Feeder 9A were expected to experience an electrical service interruption. About 437 customers along Dronningens Gade, Commandant Gade, Palm Strade and nearby areas were expected to be affected.
