Bryan submits $1.4 billion FY 2024-2025 executive budget to 35th Legislature

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. submitted the Virgin Islands executive budget proposal for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 to the 35th Legislature on May 30, 2023, with total proposed expenditures of $1.4 billion.

According to Government House, the proposal included $969 million from the General Fund, $334.9 million in federal funds, $84.3 million in other funds and $35.2 million in non-appropriated funds.

The administration said the budget also included $25 million for retroactive wages for retirees and others owed union wages.

During a Government House briefing on May 30, Bryan said the administration again submitted a two-year budget proposal.
