Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. urged residents on November 9, 2019, to attend Veterans Day parades scheduled for November 10 in Cruz Bay, St. John, and November 11 in Frederiksted, St. Croix, and on Veterans Drive in St. Thomas.

Government House said the parades were scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on November 10 in Cruz Bay, 9 a.m. on November 11 in Frederiksted, and 3 p.m. on November 11 on Veterans Drive.

The 2019 honorees were retired Maj. Gen. Cleave McBean of St. Thomas, retired Command Sgt. Maj. Charles David of St. Croix, and retired Staff Sgt. Elvis Lewis of St. John.

Government House also said Acting Gov. Tregenza A. Roach had signed a proclamation earlier that week declaring November as Military Families Month and November 11, 2019, as Veterans Day, also known as Armistice Day.
