Bryan scheduled July 16 COVID-19 update and school reopening briefing

Government House said Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. was scheduled to give a press conference on July 16, 2020, at 1 p.m. AST to provide an update on COVID-19 in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The administration said Bryan also was expected to discuss the Education Department’s school reopening plan after delaying the opening of schools until at least Sept. 8.

Health Commissioner Justa Encarnacion and Education Commissioner Racquel Berry-Benjamin were also listed to participate.

Government House said the briefing would be conducted by conference call and that media would not be admitted in person because of social-distancing guidelines.
