The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on November 9, 2023, that the oil spill under investigation at Lindbergh Bay on St. Thomas was not related to the diesel spill that had been contained at the Randolph Harley Power Plant weeks earlier.
WAPA said it was assisting with cleanup efforts at Lindbergh Bay and was cooperating with the U.S. Coast Guard investigation.
