Bryan promotes V.I. National Guard Adjutant General Kodjo S. Knox-Limbacker to major general

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. promoted V.I. National Guard Adjutant General Kodjo S. Knox-Limbacker to major general during a ceremony on June 10, 2021, at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center on St. Thomas.

Government House said the rank is equivalent to a two-star general. It said the promotion was a local designation and would become a federal designation following approval by the U.S. Senate.

After the promotion, Knox-Limbacker said the advancement reflected the work of service members across the territory.
