Sports and Parks department, viNGN offered free Wi-Fi at Cramer's Park through May 1

The Virgin Islands Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation announced on April 16, 2019, that it had partnered with the Virgin Islands Next Generation Network, Inc., to provide free Wi-Fi access at Cramer's Park Beach on St. Croix.

The department said the internet service was intended for campers during the Easter holiday season and would remain active through May 1, 2019.

Government House said the service also was aimed at addressing limited cellular communication in the area. Commissioner Nominee Calvert White said he intended to extend similar internet access to other Sports, Parks and Recreation facilities.

The release said viNGN had 15 free public Wi-Fi hot spots across the U.S. Virgin Islands.
