The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said its customer service offices at Port of Sale Mall on St. Thomas, Sunny Isle on St. Croix and Marketplace on St. John were scheduled to close at 11 a.m. on October 6, 2023, for the rest of the day for a staff meeting.

WAPA said the offices were to reopen with regular business hours on October 10, 2023, following the Virgin Islands-Puerto Rico Friendship Day holiday.

The authority said customers could still handle some transactions by phone, online, through payment drop boxes at business centers, or at FirstBank, Banco Popular and Bank of St. Croix branches.
