The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said a road closure tied to its Midland Underground Project on St. Croix was scheduled for April 24 through April 28, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The closure was set for the intersection of Centerline Road and Eddie Ortiz Drive, next to Central High School. WAPA said flaggers and signage would be present in the work zones.
WAPA said the Midland Underground Project runs along Route 663 from Melvin Evans Highway to Queen Mary Highway and includes the Gregory E. Willocks Substation. The project was described as replacing four overhead distribution lines with underground duct banks.
