Funeral arrangements announced for V.I. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Director Daryl A. George

Government House announced on November 3, 2023, the funeral arrangements for Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services Director Daryl A. "Mousy" George.

A candlelight vigil was scheduled for November 15, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles A. Seales Fire Station Annex in Estate Grove Place, St. Croix. A second vigil was scheduled for November 16, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Omar Brown Sr. Fire Station in St. Thomas, across from Barbel Plaza.

George was scheduled to lie in state at the Omar Brown Sr. Fire Station on November 17, 2023, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Funeral services were scheduled for November 18, 2023, at the Omar Brown Sr. Fire Station, with viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and the funeral service from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Interment was scheduled to follow at Western Cemetery No. 1. A repast was scheduled at Joe’s Hot Spot, across from Property and Procurement.
