St. Thomas water service interruption was scheduled for about 3,000 customers on June 26-27

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said a scheduled potable water interruption on St. Thomas was set to begin at 6 p.m. on June 26, 2024, and continue until 6 a.m. on June 27, 2024.
WAPA said the interruption was expected to affect about 3,000 customers from Contact, near Nisky Center Shopping Center, through Estate Thomas and surrounding areas.
The authority said water personnel were scheduled to repair a 24-inch transmission mainline leak on the Waterfront Apron adjacent to the Waterfront Local Fruit Stand. The repair work was scheduled from 1:30 p.m. on June 26 until 4 a.m. on June 27.
