WAPA governing board scheduled meeting for April 29 on St. Croix

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority’s governing board was scheduled to hold its monthly meeting on April 29, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. at the authority’s offices in Sunny Isle, St. Croix.

According to the published agenda, the board was set to consider several Planning and Economic Development Committee items, including additional funding and a time extension for Arcadis; Change Order No. 13 for the APR TM-2500 power turbine, Unit 25; a time extension for Sulzer Turbo Services contract SC-63-14; an amendment to contract SC-76-18 with ABB Inc.; Change Order No. 5 for the Orange Grove 24-inch water line installation and pressure-reducing valve project; and Addendum 02 to contract SC-10-19 for AWG Inc.

The agenda also listed Finance and Audit Committee items including property insurance coverage renewal, approval of the authority’s fiscal 2018 asset impairment project, an amendment to governance policy, and approval of a base rate case filing.

The meeting agenda also included the executive director’s report, an executive session for legal matters, and adjournment.
