Scheduled water interruption on St. Croix set for Oct. 12 to affect several neighborhoods and Juan F. Luis Hospital
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said a scheduled potable water service interruption on St. Croix was set for Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, affecting customers in Sion Farm, Catherine’s Rest, Golden Rock, Anna’s Hope and Juan F. Luis Hospital.
WAPA said the interruption was needed so contractor GEC Engineering could connect a new 24-inch water main near Quest Verde Road. Water service was expected to be affected until the connection to the existing 10-inch water main was completed.
The work was part of the Pressure Management Phase 2B project, which involved installation of a new 24-inch water line.
