Bryan names O’Neal to lead OMB, George to head Fire Service
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced on Jan. 31 that Jenifer O’Neal had been named director of the Office of Management and Budget and Daryl A. George Sr. had been named director of the Virgin Islands Fire Service.
Government House said O’Neal previously served as deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget, chief financial officer of the Department of Human Services and a senior policy analyst for the Government of the British Virgin Islands. It said she also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of the Virgin Islands and H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in Tortola.
According to the announcement, O’Neal holds a master of business administration in finance and international business from Towson University/University of Baltimore and a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Baltimore.
Government House said George was a former assistant director of the Virgin Islands Fire Service and previously served as special assistant to the director of the Fire Service and program coordinator of the Junior Fighter Corps from 1997 through 2014.
The announcement said George had training in fire service management, emergency operations and incident command, and had been involved in projects including the construction of the Emile Berry and Omar E. Brown fire stations and the establishment of warehouses for ladder apparatuses on St. Croix and St. Thomas.
