Mapp nominates four to Virgin Islands Horse Racing Commission

Gov. Kenneth E. Mapp nominated Dr. Laura Palminteri, Henry E. Schjang, Ian Samuel and Ronald A. Phillips to the Virgin Islands Horse Racing Commission, according to nomination letters sent to Senate President Myron Jackson.

Under the nominations announced on June 11, 2018, Schjang and Phillips were designated for the St. Croix district, while Palminteri and Samuel were designated for the St. Thomas-St. John district.

If confirmed by the Legislature, Phillips and Samuel would serve two-year terms, and Schjang and Palminteri would serve three-year terms. The nominees would continue serving until their successors were appointed and qualified.
