Six Bryan-Roach Cabinet members were sworn in on St. Croix; 12 had been sworn in on St. Thomas
Six Bryan-Roach administration Cabinet members were sworn in on June 18, 2019, at Government House in Christiansted, following a separate ceremony on St. Thomas on June 17, 2019, in which 12 other Cabinet members took the oath of office.
Superior Court Judge Robert Molloy administered the oath on St. Croix to Agriculture Commissioner Positive T.A. Nelson, Labor Commissioner Gary Molloy, Health Commissioner Justa E. Encarnacion, Internal Revenue Bureau Director Joel A. Lee, Motor Vehicles Bureau Director Barbara Jackson-McIntosh and Virgin Islands Energy Office Director Kyle Fleming.
On St. Thomas, V.I. Supreme Court Chief Justice Rhys Hodge administered the oath to Finance Commissioner Kirk Callwood Sr., Attorney General Denise N. George, Office of Management and Budget Director Jenifer C. O’Neal, Education Commissioner Racquel Berry-Benjamin, Public Works Commissioner Nelson Petty Jr., Property and Procurement Commissioner Anthony D. Thomas, Tourism Commissioner Joseph B. Boschulte, Planning and Natural Resources Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol, Personnel Director Dayna M. Clendinen, V.I. Fire Service Director Daryl A. George Sr., Bureau of Corrections Director Wynnie Testamark and Veterans Affairs Director Patrick Farrell.
Office of Collective Bargaining Chief Negotiator designee Joss Springette was to be sworn in at a later date.
The Government House statement said several Cabinet positions remained unresolved. V.I. Territorial Emergency Management Agency director nominee Daryl Jaschen had appeared before the Senate Rules and Judiciary Committee the previous week, while Human Services commissioner nominee Kimberley Causey-Gomez and Licensing and Consumer Affairs commissioner nominee Richard Evangelista were scheduled to appear before the committee on June 20, 2019.
Government House also listed the following nominees as still awaiting an appearance before the 33rd Legislature: Sports, Parks and Recreation Commissioner nominee Calvert White, Police Commissioner nominee Trevor Velinor, Adjutant General nominee Col. Kodjo Knox-Limbacker, Bureau of Information Technology Director nominee Rupert O. Ross and V.I. Lottery Director nominee Raymond Williams.
