Bryan names Kimberley Causey-Gomez Human Services commissioner
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced on April 17, 2019, that Kimberley Causey-Gomez had been named commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Human Services.
Causey-Gomez previously worked for the department for 12 years, serving as assistant commissioner and administrator for the Division of Children, Youth and Families before leaving the agency in 2011.
According to Government House, she began her career in the Virgin Islands in 1992 as a volunteer with Lutheran Social Services of the Virgin Islands and later worked for Catholic Charities of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Causey-Gomez holds a bachelor of social work and a master of social work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a licensed certified social worker.
