Property tax amnesty for delinquent taxes set to begin April 17, 2018

Lt. Gov. Osbert E. Potter announced on April 16, 2018, that property taxpayers could pay delinquent taxes with a 100% waiver of interest and penalties under Act No. 8017.

The waiver applied only to tax years 2015 and earlier. According to the announcement, the amnesty took effect on April 17, 2018, and payments would be accepted only in person or by postal mail through the Office of the Tax Collector.
