Bryan urged Virgin Islanders to reflect on unity for Martin Luther King Jr. holiday
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a statement on January 15, 2021, urging Virgin Islanders to honor the memory of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by reflecting on unity ahead of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on January 18, 2021.
Government House said the holiday is also designated as a national Day of Service.
In the statement, Bryan said residents should honor the day by reflecting on "where our country has been going and where we want it to go" and by appreciating their fellow Virgin Islanders and the struggles and resilience they have experienced.
