More than 450 children attended Easter movie event organized through territorial ADA office

More than 450 children attended the "Cultivating Inclusion - Easter at the Movies" events held on St. Thomas on March 24, 2018, and on St. Croix on March 25, 2018, according to Government House.

Government House said more than 200 children attended the St. Thomas event and 250 attended the St. Croix event. The children and their parents watched a private screening of Sherlock Gnomes at Caribbean Cinemas.

Government House said attendees were given popcorn and drinks, and each student received an Easter basket containing toys, educational materials, and arts and crafts supplies.

Virgin Islands Territorial ADA Coordinator Jamila Russell addressed attendees and spoke about removing barriers to equality for people with disabilities.

Government House also said Carnival Prince and Princess Jah’Syi Narcisse and Tae’Zha Maduro, Princess contestants Syneece Forbes, Caricia Caesar, J’Naiya Rihanna Squiabro and Ta’Mya Davis, and Prince contender Maike Caricciolo attended the events to greet participants.
