Bryan accepts resignation of Education Commissioner Racquel Berry-Benjamin
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. accepted the resignation of Education Commissioner Racquel Berry-Benjamin on June 27, 2022, effective immediately.
Bryan named Assistant Commissioner of Education Victor Somme as acting commissioner until a permanent commissioner is nominated.
In a statement, Bryan thanked Berry-Benjamin for her work and said Somme would lead the department into the start of the upcoming school year.
