Bryan nominates Carol Thomas-Jacobs to Superior Court and renominates Judge Harold Willocks
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. nominated Acting Attorney General Carol Thomas-Jacobs on March 2, 2023, for a seat on the Virgin Islands Superior Court and renominated Superior Court Judge Harold Willocks to another term.
Thomas-Jacobs had served for more than 20 years in the Virgin Islands Department of Justice. Government House said she served as deputy attorney general in 2016 and chief deputy attorney general in 2020. Bryan named her acting attorney general after the resignation of Denise George in December 2022.
Willocks worked for more than 20 years in the Office of the Territorial Public Defender before he was named to the Superior Court bench in 2010. He also served as presiding judge of the court.
Superior Court judges serve six-year terms.
