The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority on October 17, 2023 posted an EPA report on an extended water sampling study conducted on St. Croix on September 28 and 29, 2023.
The archived notice said the samples were not obtained under rigorous scientific protocols for the metals in question and that retesting using appropriate protocols would be conducted. WAPA said it released the results in the PDF out of caution and transparency.
