15 recruits graduate from St. Thomas-St. John police training class

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. attended a Virgin Islands Police Department graduation ceremony for the St. Thomas-St. John District class of 2021-1 on Sept. 8, 2021, at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center.

According to Government House, 15 recruits graduated and were set to join the Police Department, while others were assigned to the Bureau of Corrections, the Virgin Islands Port Authority, the Virgin Islands Department of Justice and the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.

During the ceremony, Bryan presented a fruit basket to Officer Senae Glascow, who was to join the Executive Security staff at Government House on St. Thomas.

Government House said the next VIPD graduation, for the St. Croix District class of 2021-2, was scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sept. 17, 2021, at the Canegata Recreation Center.
