Finance Department and Internal Revenue Bureau distributed more than $15 million in tax refunds

The Virgin Islands Department of Finance and the Bureau of Internal Revenue distributed more than 6,000 income tax refunds totaling more than $15 million during the week of March 22, 2021, according to a Government House statement issued March 26, 2021.

The statement said the disbursement continued refunds from the 2018 tax year.

Government House said the administration had issued about $128.6 million in income tax refunds since January 2019, including $29.2 million in fiscal year 2019, $68.7 million in fiscal year 2020, and $30.7 million in fiscal year 2021 through March 26, 2021.
