King Street in Cruz Bay was set to close from Nov. 10 through Dec. 1 for underground electrical work
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said King Street on St. John would be closed to vehicular traffic from Nov. 10, 2021, through Dec. 1, 2021, to allow work on an underground electrical project in Cruz Bay.
WAPA said the project extended from Frank Bay through Cruz Bay to Mongoose Junction. Contractor Haugland Energy was scheduled to complete excavations and install electrical conduits during the closure.
The authority said accommodations would be made for car rental agencies and other businesses needing access to King Street, and motorists were advised to use alternate routes and follow flaggers and posted signs.
