SBA to close two Virgin Islands disaster loan outreach centers on March 30 for Good Friday

The U.S. Small Business Administration said on March 28, 2018, that its Disaster Loan Outreach Centers at the VIYA building on St. Croix and the Nisky Center on St. Thomas would close on Friday, March 30, 2018, in observance of Good Friday.

The agency said representatives at the centers provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help survivors complete loan applications.

The St. Croix center at VIYA, 7G and 7H Estate Diamond, Pepper Tree Road, Christiansted, and the St. Thomas center at the Small Business Development Center, University of the Virgin Islands, 8000 Nisky Center, Suite 720, St. Thomas, were scheduled to be closed on March 30.

SBA said its disaster loans remained available to businesses of all sizes, most private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters for uninsured losses tied to the 2017 hurricanes. The filing deadlines for economic injury disaster loan applications were June 7, 2018, for Hurricane Irma and June 20, 2018, for Hurricane Maria.
