About 1,500 tax refund checks totaling $4.95 million were scheduled to be mailed April 24

Finance Commissioner Valdamier Collens said about 1,500 tax refund checks totaling $4.95 million were scheduled to be mailed on April 24, 2018.

Collens said about one-third of the refunds in that mailing were for tax year 2016.

Bureau of Internal Revenue Director Marvin Pickering said the government had paid more than $173.4 million in tax refunds since 2015. He also advised taxpayers who had not received expected refunds for tax years 2015 and earlier to contact the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
