Lane closure and water-service disruption began May 12 on St. Croix for Clifton Hill waterline work

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said a northern lane of the Melvin Evans Highway on St. Croix was scheduled to close from 6 p.m. on May 12, 2023, to 6 a.m. on May 13, 2023, as part of the Clifton Hill Waterline Rehabilitation Project.

WAPA said flaggers and signage would be posted in the work zones during the closure.

The authority also said water service in Bethlehem and Profit Hills was expected to have little to no pressure from 9 p.m. on May 12, 2023, through 6 a.m. on May 13, 2023, because of a 10-inch waterline tie-in connecting newly installed lines in the Clifton Hill community.
