Bryan issues statement congratulating Frett-Gregory and members of 34th Legislature

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. on Jan. 12 issued a statement congratulating Senate President Donna Frett-Gregory and the members of the 34th Legislature after they took the oath of office on Jan. 11 at Emancipation Garden on St. Thomas and convened their first session to establish Senate leadership.

In the statement, Bryan said he looked forward to working with Frett-Gregory and the new Legislature on measures he said had been submitted to the 33rd Legislature, including the Cannabis Act, the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Act, and a proposal to merge the Virgin Islands Fire and EMS services.
