Mapp expresses concern for Trinidad and Tobago flood victims

Gov. Kenneth E. Mapp said on October 22, 2018, that he was expressing solidarity with the people of Trinidad and Tobago following flooding that affected communities in various parts of Trinidad.

In a statement, Mapp said the U.S. Virgin Islands was home to a number of Trinidadians and said residents were joining them in prayer for a complete recovery.

The statement said Trinidad and Tobago had experienced extremely heavy rainfall in the preceding days, leading to dangerous flood conditions.
