MDM Inc. Cites viNGN Support for 2018 Carnival Village Livestream

MDM Inc., an entertainment media outlet, said on May 2, 2018, that the Virgin Islands Next Generation Network Inc. provided network connectivity used to livestream performances from the St. Thomas Carnival Village.

According to the statement, the effort was a partnership involving MDM Inc., viNGN and the Virgin Islands Carnival Committee under Executive Director Halvor Hart II.

MDM Chief Executive Omari Hicks said in a written message dated May 2, 2018, that viNGN's service allowed the 2018 Carnival Village entertainment to be streamed without interruption during the festival's opening.

The statement said the livestream covered events at Carnival Village from April 20 through April 28, 2018. It also said viNGN added free Wi-Fi service inside the village during the festivities, supplementing existing nearby hotspots at Emancipation Garden and Roosevelt Park.
