Bryan issued Patriot Day statement marking Sept. 11 anniversary

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a statement on Sept. 11, 2022, commemorating Patriot Day and remembering the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In the statement, Bryan said some of the victims were Virgin Islanders and honored first responders who risked their lives during the attacks, as well as U.S. service members who served in the war on terror.

Government House said Bryan’s statement followed weekend events honoring Virgin Islands service members and first responders. On Sept. 10, 2022, Bryan met with National Guard Bureau Chief Gen. Daniel Hokanson, and on Sept. 11, 2022, he took part in the Office of Veterans Affairs’ annual Patriot Day Parade and Ceremony in Christiansted.
