The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said a vehicle crash into a utility pole in the Smith Bay area caused an electrical service interruption on St. Thomas on March 4, 2024.

WAPA said customers from Cassi Hill to Sapphire were scheduled to lose service from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. while crews made emergency repairs to a transmission line.
