Bryan announces 2023 holiday schedule for Virgin Islands government offices

Government House announced on Nov. 9, 2023, the holiday schedule for Virgin Islands government offices and administrative leave for executive branch employees through Jan. 15, 2024.

Government offices were scheduled to be closed on Nov. 10 for the observed Veterans Day holiday, Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving Day, Dec. 25 for Christmas Day, Dec. 26 for Boxing Day, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day, and Jan. 15 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Non-essential executive branch employees were scheduled to receive administrative leave from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 24, the day after Thanksgiving, and territory-wide on Jan. 5, 2024, for the Crucian Christmas Festival Children’s Parade.

On St. Croix, non-essential executive branch employees were scheduled to receive administrative leave from noon to 5 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2024, for the Crucian Christmas Festival Food, Arts, and Crafts Fair, and from 8 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2024, to 5 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2024, for J’Ouvert.

Government House also said Three Kings Day would be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024.
