Bryan proclaimed National Crime Victims’ Rights Week in U.S. Virgin Islands
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a proclamation on April 19, 2021, recognizing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The observance marked its 40th anniversary and ran from April 18 through April 24, 2021. It is an initiative of the federal Office for Victims of Crime, a division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
The 2021 theme was "Support Victims. Build Trust. Engage Communities."
According to Government House, the purpose of the week was to raise awareness of victims’ rights and services, highlight programs for crime victims, and honor victims and the professionals who serve them.
