Governor Bryan tested positive for COVID-19 on April 20, 2022
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. tested positive for COVID-19 early on April 20, 2022, after returning to the U.S. Virgin Islands on April 19 following a weeklong trip to Washington, D.C., and Miami, Government House said.
Government House said Bryan was asymptomatic and in good health. It said he canceled all public appearances and was self-quarantining through April 27, 2022, in accordance with U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Virgin Islands Department of Health guidelines.
The statement said Bryan was fully vaccinated and boosted and had continued taking a COVID-19 test upon returning to the territory during the pandemic.
