Bryan proclaimed Sept. 11 as Patriot Day in the U.S. Virgin Islands

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a proclamation on Sept. 10, 2019, designating Sept. 11, 2019, as "Patriot Day: A Day of Remembrance in the United States Virgin Islands."

The proclamation commemorated the men and women killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Bryan also reflected on Virgin Islanders lost in the attacks and in the ensuing global war on terror, and asked residents to remember those who died, their surviving loved ones, and Virgin Islands service members and their families.
