Bryan issues statement on death of Kenneth "Lord Blakie" Blake Sr.

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a statement on Nov. 6, 2019, on the death of Kenneth "Lord Blakie" Blake Sr.

Bryan said he learned of Blake's death while in Washington over the weekend and had since spoken with Virgin Islanders who described Blake as important to them and cited his contributions to Carnival and Virgin Islands culture.

Bryan and first lady Yolanda Bryan extended condolences to Blake's family, friends and the Virgin Islands community.
